Child Safety Standards
LoveBirds is for adults only. We do not tolerate child sexual abuse or exploitation of any kind.
Our standards
- LoveBirds is only for people 18 and older. Sign-up requires a birthday showing the person is at least 18, and our Terms forbid anyone under 18 from using the service.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), and any content or behavior that sexualizes, grooms, endangers or exploits a child, is strictly prohibited.
- New and changed profile text and photos are checked, and anything suggesting someone is under 18 is flagged for our team. Accounts that break these rules are removed and blocked from returning.
- When we find apparent child sexual abuse material, we remove it, preserve what the law requires, and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the relevant authority where the member lives.
- We cooperate with law enforcement investigating child safety concerns.
How to report a concern
- In the app: open the person’s profile or your conversation, tap Report, and choose “Underage user” or the reason that fits. Reporting also blocks them. Our team reviews every report.
- By email: write to support@golovebirds.com. Tell us the person’s name as shown in the app and what you saw.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number (911 in the US). You can also report child sexual exploitation to NCMEC at report.cybertip.org.
